The 2022 model year is nearly here at Patrick Volkswagen, and that means some updates and new features for some of our favorite Volkswagen models.

One vehicle that's sure to get an upgrade is the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. Here's what we know about this upcoming SUV so far

Stylish Upgrades

We know that the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan is going to get some design upgrades. Expect newly standard LED headlights, a new grille, and even some new wheel designs to choose from. There are even different sizes to pick from, ranging from 17 to 20 inches.

The back of this 2022 model gets some updates as well. There's a new “Tiguan” badge along with a new VW logo on the rear tailgate, making this model resemble its bigger brother the Volkswagen Atlas a bit more. Finally, drivers get to choose from two new exterior colors, Oryx White and Kings Red.

Interior Upgrades

The inside of the car also receives a few new features, including a new steering wheel and a newly standard eight-inch digital gauge cluster. The infotainment system has also received an update, so expect it to be faster than before so that you can access your favorite features faster.

Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are also standard on all trim levels except for the base S model now. The S model does get heated seats now. Last year's base model didn't offer that comforting feature. The S comes equipped with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, but the higher SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line all offer a larger eight-inch screen.
